I'm often astounded to see the how majestic and bizarre the clothing industry has become. For some reason it is difficult for me to fathom people and their complete love for clothing. Don't get me wrong! I like a good pair of pants as much anyone, but you won't catch me handing over hundreds of dollars for a pair of jeans, or even for plus size coats, which can be pricey. Forget that. Not that my taste has any effect on the style industry what-so-ever. Oodles of young people are going to fashion styling and merchandising colleges to better learn the industry. Hey, I can't say that I blame them. There's a whole lot of money to be made there. I am fairly certain Tom Ford is starving nowadays.

When I asked my teenage daughter what subject she wished to pursue, she started rambling on about fashion design and marketing. Hmm, big shock!
