Aerobic Videos Are Great! They Develop Incredible Results If You Use Them Right.
I have been using cardio work-out videos for about a year now, and let me tell you - if you've the right setup and a positive attitude, they work every bit as well as an actual aerobics class. For me it is been similar to having my own personal fitness trainer right in my workout room. However that is not the experience for some other people. Many people buy aerobic videos, and then just have them sitting, gathering dust, and never use them, numerous others use them to catapult themselves into a healthier, more lucrative life. What is the difference? Why do cardio videos work for some people, but fail miserably for others? Allow me to me explain.
You see, it is not specifically about the aerobics tapes at all, but it has to do with the person watching them. The first and most important thing is that you have the right attitude towards exercise that will result in success. You need, from the beginning to set reasonable goals and a consistent schedule of exercise that will help you be successful in all of your goals, and that's no easy task. That can't come from the cardio videos - it has to come from you. The most critical thing is that you exercise frequently. Doing each aerobic video twice every third Sunday won't do it. Even if you never finish your cardiovascular videos at first, you've to be using them each day or you will not get the greatest results from them - you will barely get any results at all, truth be told. Set reasonable goals and stay with them. Think of it as if you do have to give an account to a fitness trainer. Remember its no good telling your-self that you will do a two hour workout with your cardio videos each day, and then failing right away. Set little goals, ones you know that you can attain, to build confidence.
Equally vital is to have a good room to do your aerobics workout. If you live in a cramped, one room apartment with clothing all over the floor, forget it. You can use some cardio videos with less space than you might think, but if you don't at least clear a little room to move around in, you will never attain any of your exercise goals, and that's a crying shame. The first step of your cardiovascular workout is really setting a time, clearing out a space, and psyching your-self up. Do not expect immediate success from using your aerobic videos. It is going to be hard work. But if you keep at it, within a month you will observe major changes. Who knows this could be your call to a career in personal training.
